PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • As Director of Digital Media at SBC Theatre, I directed creative visual direction, emphasising inclusivity and accessibility in marketing, communications, and social media strategy. I led the planning, development, and delivery of digital & print content strategy, meeting objectives within timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. Actively contributing to strategic planning, I represented SBC at key meetings with external stakeholders and managed a team of freelancers for campaign projects. Providing quarterly progress reports to directors, I highlighted achievements, challenges, and opportunities. Coordinating and executing creative digital content initiatives, I ensured inclusivity and equality of access. Redesigning www.sbctheatre.co.uk for better user experience, I increased website traffic by 25%. Additionally, I provided support and training on CMS functionality, produced campaigns to drive public support and donations, and represented the organisation as an event speaker. Impact-wise, I led the visual creative direction of "Gifted," an immersive adventure project with Oldham Coliseum and Oldham Council, and developed the multilingual story walk app, 'Secret Summer,' featured in UK parks and festivals, nominated for the National Fantastic For Families awards.

  • Roots Mobile Theatre (RMT) is a dynamic dramatic arts company specialising in cross-cultural collaborative practice. My role is to support the company with digital creative direction on all its outward facing platforms. I spearheaded print and digital marketing campaigns of the company’s theatre shows including Far Gone, Never Look Back and Lines.

  • I was brought in to create a new brand identity system for 3 Peaks Health, with the strategic aim of giving a modern, professional, and distinctive look. This endeavour began with an in-depth briefing session with the stake holders to align branding expectations, followed by rigorous research and development. The development phase saw the presentation of multiple logo options and variations, leading to the approval of a concept after thorough ideation and feedback from the client. This culminated in the delivery of a refined logo, typography set, brand colours, and a comprehensive brand guideline document, accompanied by design assets including social media templates and presentation mock-ups, ensuring the successful completion of the brand identity project for 3 Peaks Health.   • I spearheaded the redesign of the festival's website, aiming to provide a user-friendly platform showcasing diverse cultural events and opportunities to the broader community. In addition to this, I took the lead on designing the festivals annual magazine, collaborating closely with the strategic level stakeholders to ensure timely delivery. My responsibilities included seamlessly evolving the Migration Matters branding into various print materials and social media strategy maintaining regular reportage with designers, the Marketing & Communications Manager and directors.

  • I was brought to revitalise Bittersuite’s logo and visual identity to align more closely with their mission of transforming music into experiences.

    Through meticulous effort and creative vision, I spearheaded the development of a new logo, typography system, and brand color scheme. In addition to these foundational elements, I crafted a comprehensive brand guideline to provide clear direction for the implementation of the new identity across various touchpoints. This guideline served as a roadmap for Bittersuite's rollout into the market

    To support the successful introduction of the refreshed brand, I produced design assets such as social media templates and presentation mock-ups. These assets were instrumental in ensuring a cohesive presentation of Bittersuite's identity across different channels.

  • As a Trustee focused on digital marketing, I contributed my expertise to The Montgomery Theatre and Arts Centre Trust. Working with the Board, led by the Chair and alongside the Director, I helped shape the organisation's strategic direction in digital marketing.

    I attended monthly Board meetings at The Montgomery Theatre and Arts Centre and actively participated in relevant sub-committees.

    I utilised my skills and experience to suppor the Montgomery to develop its new website and its mission and enhance its digital presence.

  • I played a pivotal role in enhancing the institution's marketing efforts through the creation of engaging digital media content. This included spearheading an innovative online campaign and bolstering the university's social media presence. Notably, I led the delivery of a successful recruitment ad campaign for the UCEM HR Department, resulting in the shortlisting of 26 high-caliber candidates across five role groups, thereby optimising staff recruitment to the academic team.

  • During my tenure as a Content Manager for Sheffield City Council's Page Hall Festival, I spearheaded various initiatives to enhance the festival's brand presence and engagement. This included:

    • Collaborating with key stakeholders to define business goals and establish cohesive brand values.

    • Pitching creative concepts through comprehensive proposals, ensuring alignment with the festival's objectives.

    • Defining the festival's messaging and brand voice to resonate with the target audience effectively.

    • Presenting shortlisted artwork to clients, iteratively revising and adapting designs as necessary to meet their requirements.

    • Delivering digital files and style guides to ensure consistency across all branding materials.

    • Designing and prototyping a brand-aligned website to serve as the festival's central online platform.

    • Creating and delivering social media assets to enhance the festival's online presence and engagement.

  • As part of the government-funded High Streets Heritage Action Zones Cultural Programme, I was commissioned by Historic England in partnership with Site Gallery to make a film about Sheffield High Street. The film was well-received by the Sheffield Telegraph and listed as an Exhibition Of The Week by the Guardian.
